Step 1: The Pop (Flavoring the Patty)

We start by making the filling for the potato patty.

  1. Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a small pan.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and your boiled peas.
  3. What to look for: Stir for 1 minute. Now add a pinch of salt and red chilli powder. Mash the peas slightly with your spoon so they stick to the potatoes later.

Step 2: The Base (Building the Patty)

This is the main “grain” part of your burger.

  1. In a bowl, mix the mashed potatoes with the cooked pea mixture.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs into the mix (this keeps the patty firm).
  3. Shape the mixture into flat round “patties” the same size as your burger bun.
  4. Press the patties into the remaining bread crumbs so they are coated all over.
  5. The Griddle: Heat a flat pan with a little oil and fry the patties until both sides are dark golden brown and crispy.

Step 3: The Dust & Assembly (The Final Stack)

Now we put everything together for the big bite.

  1. Slice your burger buns in half. Put a little butter on a hot pan and toast the inside of the buns until they are warm and light brown.
  2. The Sauce: Spread Mayonnaise on the bottom bun and Ketchup on the top bun.
  3. The Stack: * Place a lettuce leaf or cabbage on the bottom.
    • Put your hot, crispy Patty on top.
    • Add a slice of onion and a slice of tomato.
    • Sprinkle a little Black Pepper (The Dust) on the veggies.
  4. Cover with the top bun and press down gently.
